| I started drawing at the age of three and a half when I drew my first picture - a daisy. After that, I always had a writing implement in my hand and I drew on whatever came to hand - from paper napkins to school notebooks. My school notebooks were always covered with pictures. My teachers eventually gave up trying to get me to stop drawing all over them. I went on to study Art and Art History and graduated with a BA from the University of Toronto and a diploma from Sheridan College. I am also a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature. I am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. In addition to art my interests include writing, reading (voraciously), gardening, baking, cooking fancy dinners, sewing and piano. We live in Ontario, Canada, with our Hungarian Kuvasz, Icewind Silver Dream and Tibetan Spaniel Keani Evening Song. |
