Unique Spaces. Imaginative Possibilities. Beautiful Dreams. Cherished
Memories. Treasured Relationships.

I totally get it. It's part of the reason I love doing what I do.

Acquring a piece of art is such a personal experience. We like specific pieces
of art because they resonate with us in some way. They evoke a feeling, a
memory, a sense; sometimes they reveal to us a part of ourselves we hadn't
known existed, or inspire us in a way that we can't explain. Art is powerful.

When we consider giving art as a gift, it's an expression of love. Unlike the
latest electronic toy, the gift of Art is meant to last, to be a part of life, to be
passed to the people who are important to us.

I used to ponder why an art piece would strike stronger chords in a viewer
than a photograph of the same subject. Then a client who commissioned a
portrait from me told me that "[my] artwork [had] a warmth and a
personality not found in a photograph" and I understood. Art touches us on
an elemental and emotional level; through brush strokes, through colour,
through subtle nuances, through the personality of the Artist which is
invariably twined around their work, and the personal experiences, ideas
and emotions that we bring to a piece when we view and interpret it.

You may feel a little nervous about acquiring, or commissioning, a piece
because you think, "I don't know a lot about Art..."

That's okay. That's not relevant. What is important is, that whether you are
thinking about a piece as a gift for yourself or as a gift for someone else, you
feel a connection with it.

I'm here to make the experience as rewarding as possible.

My name is Monica C. Webster, and I love doing what I do.
